Tamkin Journal published two (2) times in 1 year with scope on Islamic microfinance, and community empowerment studies.</p> SMART Insight en-US Tamkin Journal 2985-8909 Sentiment Analysis of Qardh Hasan Scheme https://journals.smartinsight.id/index.php/TJ/article/view/373 <p>This study aims to assess sentiments related to qardh hasan in scientific publications published in the period 2011 to 2023. The research method used is sentiment analysis by utilizing SentiStrength software, which serves to categorize sentiment into three levels, namely positive, neutral, and negative. The data used comes from scientific publications indexed in the Scopus database. The findings showed the dominance of neutral sentiment in scientific publications at 43%, followed by positive sentiment at 33%, and negative sentiment at 24%. In addition, the study revealed periodic fluctuations in the number of sentiments related to qardh hasan in scholarly publications, with 2023 showing the highest number of sentiments. This research uses a qualitative method with a bibliometric analysis approach. The data used is secondary data with the theme "Islamic Empowerment Model" which comes from the Dimension database with a total of 442 journal articles. Then, the data is processed and analyzed using the VosViewer application with the aim of knowing the bibliometric map of "Islamic Empowerment Model" research development in the world. The results of the study found that based on bibliometric keyword mapping, there are 3 clusters that can become research paths with topics related to Community and Islamic Empowerment Model, Covid-19 Pandemic and Islamic Empowerment Model, and Issues in the Islamic Empowerment Model. This can be seen from the growth of assets and market share that continues to increase, especially in the Islamic life insurance industry. The rapid development of the Islamic life insurance industry has led to a stronger level of competition between companies. To be able to compete in the insurance industry nationally, Islamic life insurance must be able to compete with conventional insurance by improving performance optimally. The purpose of this study is to analyze the efficiency of Islamic life insurance companies and business units in Indonesia for the period 2014-2019 and the factors that influence them. This study used 3 companies and 10 Islamic life insurance business units that issued their financial statements in the 2014-2019 period. The method used in this research is the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method and Tobit. The estimation results show that all companies and business units of Islamic life insurance in Indonesia have not reached the level of performance efficiency and there are still inefficiencies in the use of inputs and outputs. Factors that positively affect efficiency are joint venture dummy, while liquidity ratio and expense to net premium ratio negatively affect the performance efficiency of Islamic life insurance companies and business units in Indonesia.</p> Atika Ayuning Tyas Copyright (c) 2023 Tamkin Journal 2024-01-17 2024-01-17 2 2 10.58968/tj.v2i2.378 Islamic Microfinance for Poverty Alleviation https://journals.smartinsight.id/index.php/TJ/article/view/302 <p>Poverty is a serious problem faced by Indonesia. Most Indonesians are vulnerable to poverty. Various poverty alleviation programs have been attempted and initiated, both by the government and organizations outside the government. The process of changing poverty alleviation policies continues to be renewed. Because all parties realize that poverty is more caused by structural problems, the term structural poverty has emerged. Basically, the government has conducted many programs to alleviate poverty. But in reality, these programs have not been right on target. There is a need for a new design, so that it can be ensured that the program is right on direction and right on target. The Islamic economic system, including Islamic financial institutions, has the right and obligation to participate in managing the resources in this country. This study aims to determine the development of Islamic microfinance for poverty alleviation research trends published by leading journals on Islamic financial economics. The data analyzed consisted of 87 indexed research publications. The data is then processed and analyzed using the VoSviewer application to determine the bibliometric map of Islamic microfinance for poverty alleviation research development.</p> Husnul Khatimah Isfandayani Copyright (c) 2023 Tamkin Journal 2023-12-01 2023-12-01 2 2 10.58968/tj.v2i2.302 Measuring the Impact of Social Program https://journals.smartinsight.id/index.php/TJ/article/view/230 <p>This research focuses on exploring social values through Social Return on Investment (SROI) analysis in the evaluation of the BTTM Tazkia Bogor Holistic Development Project. Qualitative methods are used to analyze the social impacts produced by these projects. The SROI approach is applied using in-depth interviews as the main data collection tool. The results of the SROI analysis reveal a ratio of 1:6.43 which indicates that every investment worth Rp 1 generates a social impact worth Rp 6.43. These findings illustrate the significant positive impact of this program in creating social value in various aspects. This program not only provides financial value beyond the initial investment, but also has a profound positive influence in aspects such as financial, social, and spirituality.
